Save an inspection as a draft

Don't have the client's details yet? Save a draft with just the address and a template, start inspecting, and fill in the rest before you publish.

Sometimes you know the address and the kind of inspection long before you know who the client is. Now you don't have to wait.

Save as draft

Open Add Inspection, enter the property address, and on the Clients step choose Save as draft. You'll see one short screen:

  • Templates: your default is preselected. Pick one or combine several.
  • Date & time: optional. Leave it blank if the job isn't booked yet.

Select Create draft and you're on the inspection, ready to start filling it out. If you already typed a client's name, it's saved with the draft.

Finishing a draft

A draft works like any other inspection, except that it can't be published. When you have the details, select Complete draft on the inspection page to add clients, the fee, the buyer's agent, and your agreement and payment options.

Client email is now required

A full inspection (or a completed draft) now needs an email for every client. That's where the report, agreement, and payment links are sent. Existing inspections aren't affected: you can keep editing clients who don't have an email on file.
