Most reports are built from the same few dozen paragraphs, tailored to the house in front of you. The comment library keeps those paragraphs on your template, right next to the subsection they belong to.
Open a template, pick a subsection, and scroll to Comment library. Each comment is either a narrative, inserted into one of the subsection's multiline text fields, or a finding, which fills in a warning's message, recommendation, and severity.
Comments can include merge fields such as the client's name, the property address, or the inspection date. They show as chips while you write and are filled in with the real values when the client opens the report.
While filling out an inspection, a Comments button appears next to any multiline field whose subsection has narratives, and a Use comment button appears next to every warning's message. Search, pick, and then edit the text for this particular house. The comments you reach for most float to the top.
When you reword a comment on an inspection, the inspection's Template step notices. For each piece of text you can update the comment it came from, update a different one, or save it as a new comment, so your library gets better with every report.
Warning messages and recommendations now use the same editor as your narratives: bold, lists, and links all carry through to the report and PDF.
